Aurora
film
Aurora emerged from STRUT Dance and Tura New Music’s Dance Film Sound Lab, bringing together 10 artists for an immersive workshop in film, sound, and choreography. The program explored the technical and artistic demands of filmmaking, delving into cinematic language, sound design, and movement as interconnected elements of expression.
As a collective experiment, Aroura used visual and sonic stimuli to shape improvised movement. The project featured dancers Aisha Samat and Zaki MacLean, whose performances responded intuitively to the evolving interplay of projected visuals and live soundscape.
